The San Francisco Bay Area Network (SFAN) encompasses 9 national park units linked by similar geography, natural resources, and resource protection challenges. The network also includes the SFAN Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Program, and the Pacific Coast Science and Learning Center (PCSLC). The SFAN I&M Program is one of 32 National Park Service I&M Networks across the country established to facilitate collaboration, information sharing, and economies of scale in natural resource monitoring. The PCSLC is one of 20 Research Learning Centers that encourages the sharing of scientific information about the parks, facilitates research efforts, and provides opportunities for the public education. San Francisco Bay Area national parks are also fortunate to have the support of numerous partner organizations. Click on a link below to learn more about each of these groups.
