Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site

Eugene O’Neill and his third wife Carlotta Monterey lived here at Tao House between 1937 and 1944. Isolated, and at the end of his career, the Pulitzer and Nobel Prize-winning playwright created some of his best-known plays in this home including The Iceman Cometh, Long Day's Journey Into Night, and A Moon for the Misbegotten.
